Manoj Motwani

A graduate of the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Dr. Manoj Motwani attended Albany Medical College to earn his Doctor of Medicine. After receiving his degree, Dr. Manoj Motwani interned at Albany Medical Center and accepted a residency in ophthalmology at New York Medical College. In 1999, Dr. Manoj Motwani moved to San Diego, California, to establish the Motwani Lasik Institute. As a Refractive Surgeon and Medical Director of his clinic, Dr. Manoj Motwani treats astigmatism, myopia, presbyopia, and hyperopia through LASIK, epithelial laser keratomileusis (E-LASIK), and photorefractive keratectomy (PRK) eye surgery. From his medical facility, Dr. Manoj Motwani seeks the best and newest ways to care for his clients. During the early 2000s, Dr. Manoj Motwani began performing aspheric ablations, a procedure that reshapes the cornea, with the Nidek EC-5000 Excimer Laser. Since Dr. Manoj Motwani started his experiments, aspheric ablations have become the standard in the industry. The utilization of the Allegretto Wave Eye-Q Excimer Laser for OptiLASIK procedures enables Dr. Manoj Motwani to grant his patients better-than-20/20 vision in some cases. Dr. Manoj Motwani has also treated patients dealing with advanced stages of astigmatism and myopia.
