Mara Huber
Associate Dean, Facilitator, and Public Speaker in Buffalo, New York
My name is Mara Huber and I am mildly obsessed with the idea of maximizing our collective impact through innovative engagement models and learning systems.
I serve as Associate Dean for Undergraduate Education at the University at Buffalo and Administrative Director of the UB Academies. My work focuses on developing high-impact for-credit experiential learning offerings while engaging with community partners in meaningful and impactful ways.
I also convene the Buffalo-Tanzania Education Project, leading study abroad trips to the Mara Region of Tanzania while facilitating engagement and service-based discovery in support of community development. You can learn about the project through our newly published book, "Finding Your Impact through International Travel: Stories from the Buffalo Tanzania Education Project" written with my friend and collaborator Dan Nyaronga, available through Kindle eBooks, Amazon, and Barnes and Noble on-line. Sales support scholarships for girls in the Mara Region of Tanzania.
