Mara Shapiro (otherwise known as @ChickyMara) is proof that it's never too late to reinvent yourself. A former marketer and customer experience trainer, she is now a blogger, community manager, and social media consultant. As if that weren't enough, she is also the mother of three teenagers, two dogs, (and one husband). She's possibly the worst housewife in Canada (although not a hoarder. Never a hoarder.)

Mara is founder and co-editor of BrazenWoman.com, a lifestyle site for women 35+ written by 35+. BrazenWoman is THE destination for women who want their lip gloss without a side of diapers but who aren't ready to cool their hot flashes with a cougar cocktail.

She also blogs at BeNiceorLeaveThanks.com where she shares her love of reading, food, laughter, life, and a carefully curated group of products and brands. She also offers unsolicited parenting advice in her 'Tips from an Old Mom'.

Mara has been a guest on and quoted in numerous media outlets and publications.

Feel free to connect if you want to engage Mara's socia media skills in growing your community, or if you're interested in working with her on a program on BrazenWoman or Be Nice or Leave Thanks.

In addition, she volunteers her time with Princess Margaret Hospital and the Word on the Streets Festival. But, she rarely will say no if your organization needs help.

"She's REALLY FUNNY! Sometimes I pee in my Depends when I read her blog!"

"She drives really fast. Good thing it was on a closed course."

"She's a really good cook. I would eat at her house if she'd invite me."

"She reads a lot. I always take her book recommendations. Especially for the dirty books."

"I trust Mara. She never lies. That's because she doesn't want her pants to go on fire. But, I'm pretty sure she exaggerates. Like 86% of the time."

"When I work out with Mara at the gym I can't w
