I'm a linguist and digital humanist at the University of Glasgow. I have been part of the JISC Enroller and Parliamentary Discourse projects and the Historical Thesaurus of English (HTOED), and I teach courses including semantics, stylistics, pragmatics, computational linguistics and forensic linguistics. When not doing this, I work mainly on the analysis of meaning, corpus linguistics, and the development of the English language.
