DIVERSIFY, they say, it will make you a "better" person. So I did. My pre-professional career started in a few W's: Walgreens, Woolco, Waldenbooks. Then, in college: music (radio station music director), opera (as a funds-seeking marketer not a tenor), bookseller, electricity (assistant to the assistant of an electrician), telemarketing (4 fun days). Then, the real world. Publishing (marketing books in Latin America & the Caribbean), a magazine (self-published, self-financed music fanzine), the web (director of online promotions for an internet portal), freelance writing, and finally, advertising (Wunderman, The Bravo Group, Young & Rubicam). (Parentheses OD) (!).

Now my (maybe) more interesting personal side: big reader (52 books last year!) & digger of things that add quality and meaning: like family, first and foremost. And when I find the time, I dive into things like scuba, film, blogging, the Clash, Ernest Shackleton, Maritime History, Shipwrecks/Castaways, Florida History, Semiotics, Punk Rock, Photos, Music History, and all things VW. Last parenthesis: (Sometimes, I even sleep.)
