Marcus Kernohan

Journalist, Marketer, and Product manager in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada

I do things on the internet. I'm a veteran writer, editor and marketer, and a rookie product manager.

Most recently, I was producer and head of marketing for the 2016 Turing Festival, a two-day conversation about product, design, growth and corporate culture.

Previously, I spent two and a half years at a marketing technology startup, initially as the company's first marketing hire and later as the first full-time product manager.

Other things I've done: ran one of Europe's largest student media organisations; covered the world's largest arts festival as a critic; helped set up Scotland's premier technology incubator (now known as CodeBase.)

I graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a degree in history, and I'm confident the ability to talk at some length about foreign correspondents in the Spanish civil war will come in handy one day.
