Margaret is a Lower School Technology Coordinator, working with students and teachers in Pre-K through 2nd grade. She helps teachers to integrate technology into their classrooms in developmentally appropriate ways and use technology as a tool for global collaboration, communication, and creation.
Margaret is also a Technology and Education Consultant, experienced in using, managing, and training others on a range of social media and web 2.0 technologies. She has extensive experience creating and managing social media networks (e.g., Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn) for education and business; designing websites, conducting webinars, designing and facilitating professional development trainings, blogging for business, and conducting research on early childhood education and technology services. She has moderatedTwitter chats (#ecetechchat & #globalclassroom) around technology in early childhood education and global projects. Margaret also has experience working with international groups to design online communities of practice and launch social media campaigns to support upcoming international conferences.
She is passionate about connecting early childhood educators around the globe using technology so that they can more easily share resources and pedagogical practices. She loves exploring and using technologies and enjoys teaching others about ways they can use technology to network through social media and market their programs and organizations online.
Margaret has a B.A. in Psychology from Bryn Mawr College and an M.A. in International Training and Education from American University.
