Maria Martin Civiac

I am a Computer Engineer graduated by Universidad Carlos III and currently coursing a Master program in Business Informatics in TU Vienna.

I have years of experience with object oriented programming and programming languages such as JAVA, HTML, C++, C, CSS, XML, JS, Objective-C and PHP with special focus on mobile app development. I have experiences with testing and application related projects.

I have worked in the Multimedia department of my university as an iOS developer where I have developed the video streaming functionality for the UC3M corporative application. I have also developed an iPhone emergency application for Carlos III University as my bachelor thesis, including location services, Augmented Reality, Push Notification management and development of a web service.

Last summer, I worked as a Deputy Venue IT Manager in London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games delivering an optimal service to key stakeholders. I managed IT solutions in the Royal Artillery Barracks venue, where Shooting and Archery were the Olympic and Paralympic sports.

I have also installed, operated and decommissioned TV graphics in the Mediterranean Games in Mersin, Turkey. Operation performed in Archery, Taekwondo, Karate, Water polo and Gymnastics with TRT, the Turkish Television. And I would love to keep working in Games after my graduation.

Furthermore, I have worked for one year in a public school in Madrid as a computer teacher for primary kids which gave me presentation and organization skills. I have also organized some events through marketing agencies.

At the moment, I am working in a mobile application where I am the front-end developer of an app focused on culture activities, more precisely on Theater and Opera ticketing. The app is platform-independent so the technologies used are HTML5, CSS5, JQuery Mobile and Backbone JS among others.

I am pro-active, highly motivated and willing to work hard in order to deliver an efficient results oriented project management. I am fond of skiing and I love to travel and visit new places. Willing to join international projects, highly motivated to jump in major events worldwide or smartphone app projects.
