I'm a Chef...

I graduated as an Internacional Chef in SENAC São Paulo, in 2005. Then I worked hard to earn experience and knowledge in different types of restaurants, in Brazil until 2007.

My kitchen reflects my journey: the daughter of a great cook, my academic and professional experience as a hotel manager, chef and sommelier, good and bad restaurants, people passionate about cooking that crossed my life and my life itself.

I always try to understand the whole process of creating and producing a meal, get the concept, the kernel for everything. My construction of flavors is closely related to my Brazilian origins, and a Portuguese family. And my coming to Portugal, the study of traditional kitchen opens other paths for the investigation of cross-cultural in the kitchen flavors and the techniques.

I'm definitely urban and usually like to stay below the mainstream, to try things, ideas, concepts before they become trendy. So in 2007 when I came to Lisbon, it was a revelation. I imediately connected with the city, small, sophisticated, historical, with tons of character and charm, and so much easier to live in! So I've been working in several restaurants, with very different styles, from the most luxurious international ones like Eleven or Gemelli, to a more relaxed homestyle-cooking concept like Petiscaria Ideal.

I like very different styles of food. Maybe I'll never really settle for one style, the truth is that I like the here and now. As long as I'm having fun with what I'm doing and have lots of friends with me.

I can't move mountains, but I sure can drag a crowd with me!
