María Ramírez

New York

I have been reporting on international affairs most of my career, in New York, Brussels, Milan and London. I am happy covering US presidential campaigns and EU late night summits.

My education has also a foreign edge. I was born and raised in Spain, but I studied in the Liceo Italiano of Madrid. I graduated in Journalism at Columbia J-School in New York and completed my studies at the London School of Economics. I speak Spanish, Italian, English and some French.

I am the author of a book about US politics, 'La carrera', with ten profiles of promising candidates.

I love writing, but I also have television experience as a contributor for BBC, France 24 and NY1. I anchored debates and reported for elmundo.es TV and Veo TV.

I am a reporter. No opinion, no poetry.
