Marie brings 10+ years of communications and marketing experience to tech and consumer brands. She serves as head of marketing and programming for the Chamber of Digital Commerce and has led the communications launch for The Nextival, a Maryland-based music fest, and assists DJ Boy Records and its subsidiary brands with communications strategy. Other clients include Australian-based tech co. Minerra, men's e-fashion label, Alain Dupetit and others.

Marie loves to write, is inspired by those far more creative than her. She is a history buff, a DIYer, music lover, and first and foremost, a mother.

Previously, Marie was Vice President of Communications at SoundExchange responsible for all strategic communications, including external public relations, digital and print marketing and branding, creative services, as well as internal employee communications. She has more than a decade of communications experience in creating and implementing strategic brand-building programs for both public companies and nonprofit organizations.

She also led the corporate, executive visibility and consumer communications campaigns for global public companies such as Iridium and Rosetta Stone. In addition, Marie’s passion for music and entertainment led her to the Corporate Communications department XM Satellite Radio, where she was responsible for overseeing the implementation of national multi-platform campaigns earning media coverage in top music, consumer, automotive and business publications.

While at DBC Public Relations Experts, Marie specialized in media relations for clients including Blackboard, New Media Strategies and Ruckus Entertainment Network. Marie began her career in the Technology Practice of Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide.

A cheesehead at heart, Marie received her bachelor of arts in political science and communications from the University of Wisconsin.
