From a very early age, Marina demonstrated a natural gift for music and the performing arts. As a youth, she became proficient in piano composition and performance. She achieved a number of awards, including First Place at the International Competition for Young Composers in Belgrade, Serbia in 1997. Her works have been performed on many stages, in both classical and sacred music venues. In Belgrade, she had two important premieres in collaboration with the Church Transfiguration from Belgrade, with the compositions “The Prayer” for soprano and mixed choir in 2009, and “Svetilan” for mixed choir in 2010.

Marina has written compositions across a wide range of musical styles, including contemporary classical music, sacred music, ambient, and hard rock. Her diverse musical talents came to the attention of Professor Dr. Karlheinz Essl of The Institut for Composition. This is the only school of higher learning in Europe focused on research in the composition and learning of electronic music. Marina accepted an offer to join them for the 2011/2012 school year. Thus far she is the only Serbian woman to receive an advanced education at this Institut.

During this course of specialized study at The Institut for Composition in Vienna, Marina presented many of her compositions in concert. At the STEIM Institut in Amsterdam Holland on 7 June 2012, she performed the world premiere of her electronic composition ``Major Tom`` together with ELAK (Vienna) class under the guidance of Professor Wolfgang Musil.
She has successfully completed her specialized studies (June 2012) in experimental and electro-acoustic music at The University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, Institut for Composition and electroacousic music, in the class of Professor Dr. Karlheinz Essl, applied music (film, tv, radio, music production). She has also completed courses in Music and Computer with Mag.Johannes Kretz. Now, she is on PhD in popular music at University of Music and Perfroming Arts Vienna.
