When Marissa was a little girl she was fascinated with the world of East Asia from the vibrant red lanterns painted with native Kanji characters in a mesmerizing black ink that used to hang in her Taiwanese Aunt's apartment in Brooklyn, New York, to the sparkly Japanese trinkets with cute little key chain charms with ice cream cones and little teddy bear heads and hello Kitty Collectables. She adored (かわいい) cute, fashion and frilly trends that blossomed from the cute cultural movement during the Cool Japan era in the 1980's. At the age of five she was already married to (アニメ) Anime, Japans unique form of animation, popular since the 1960's, featuring famousg movies such as (株式会社スタジオジブリ) Studio Ghibli Inc.'s Spirited Away, an Award winning film in the states and a international treatsure. Hayaoi Miyazaki captured Marissa's heart with his unforgetfull characters and vibrant storytelling. She also adored Naoko Takeuchi's female heroins from the most notoriously famous (魔法少女) Magical Girl Anime series ( 美少女戦士セーラームーン) Sailor Moon.

All of these experiences and time spent being a fan of Japanese Pop culture have fueled Marissa's dream to work in the Marketing & Advertising departments of famous Companies that endorse and sell some of the most popular Japanese products such as (アニメ) Anime, (漫画) Manga, as well as Japanese toy merchandising and Video Games. She desires to be directly involved with different apsects of event planning associated with Convention Halls that are held in America and globally celebrating the beauty and intruige of Japanese Popular culture. She is enthralled with the idea of living the life of a Production/Product Marketer building a busisness identity for herself in the Japanese Market and continuing the special relationship that is shared between the U.S. and the land of the Rising Sun; Japan.

She has been attending Anime Conventions for the past 11 years, as well as cosplaying some of her favorite characters from popular animd and video game seires, even going on to enter some of her sewn peices in competitieve competitions. She is a very talented versatile singer with the ability to sing in various langueages, particularly Japanese. She is an aspiring Japanese Cover artist with the dream to one day be signed to Sony Entertainments media conglomerate Animax Anison Grand Prix, as the first American ever to be signed by the music label.
