Born and raised in New York City, Marissa Lang's first journalistic triumph came at the age of 10, when she chased the city's police commissioner out the front door of her elementary school, demanding he answer a question he had dodged during a school assembly. A graduate of the University of Maryland, she has since traveled across the country covering courts, crime, politics and more for newspapers including the Boston Globe, Tampa Bay Times, Salt Lake Tribune and Sacramento Bee.

Now at the San Francisco Chronicle, Marissa writes about the intersection of technology and culture, focusing on how the tech industry and technology itself influence and reshape the Bay Area.

Marissa lives in Berkeley, CA, and is always looking for interesting stories. Send tips to mlang at sfchronicle dot com.
