Let me tell you about myself, very briefly: I am a tenured professor of journalism at Lehman College—CUNY and the author of four books and numerous articles on popular culture, including the best-selling book on women in film, “Popcorn Venus,” and, most recently, “Boom Town: How Wal-Mart Transformed an All-American Town into an International Community.” I have a website, www.marjorierosen.com, which describes my books and includes both articles I’ve written and reviews of my work.
