“Life has been full of great places, people and adventures.” Since 1987, Joeckel has worked as an Inner-City Pastor, Non-Profit CEO, Commercial Real Estate VP, Chamber of Commerce Executive, and Radio/TV Show Host.

Currently, Mark hosts a daily TV Show on BizTV Texas & is CEO of Arlington, Texas, Proud To Call It Home. “Arlington Proud” is focused on advocating for walkable-diverse neighborhoods and marketing unique aspects of Arlington, Texas that are attractive to the 35 & under crowd. Proud communicates to via 50,000 social media followers and Mark’s daily program.

Joeckel brings over 30 years experience to the table, starting his first of four startups in college at age 19. Mark's work experience crosses over four decades of living in Austin, St. Louis, New Orleans, Orlando, Arlington and Dallas.

Past work included creating marketing plans to support financial investment funds, re-branding of individuals and businesses, planting urban churches and early education centers, creating non-profit fundraising campaigns and the launch of four businesses of his own.

Joeckel’s leadership and teaching style is heavily influenced by his personal experiences, especially, raising 3 kids as a single dad over the last 10 years (The mother of their children is deceased, Kristy had Huntington’s Disease).

Joeckel’s three “kids” are 23, 21 & 19. Son Chris, is a Freshman at UT Arlington and daughter Hannah is a Senior at the University of Arkansas. His oldest Jordan, graduated from the University of Arkansas and is now working in Los Angels for a advertising agency.

4 years ago, Mark downsized, and moved to the Downtown Arlington/UTA District. “Each day we try to live out a life that is walkable, simplified (675sf apt) and sustainable. I hope to stay focused on the philosophy I am teaching my children and what we model out through redevelopment strategies we advocate for through Arlington, Texas - Proud To Call It Home”
