Accra

Born in Wales, Mark was educated at a Benedictine Monastery in Somerset, but it didn't prevent him setting up several product/tech initiatives. Inspired by his academic work in Anthroplogy he's always been keen to understand how tech serves humans, not the other way round. In '94 he setup the first set of Digital City Guides in the US (Metrobeat/Citysearch). Then he co-founded one of the largest community networking events at the height of the bubble (FirstTuesday). Mixing his interest in Africa/Development, he moved to Ghana in 2001 to setup a mixed-used Incubator (BusyInternet) and then founded Esoko (Farmer information service over mobile) in 2008. Currently spends time between Accra, London and Bahia.
