Mark Janasik

A veteran restaurant industry executive, Mark Janasik serves as a Franchise Partner for Taqueria del Sol. TDS Franchisor and its affiliates and predecessors have been operating Taqueria del Sol restaurants in the greater Atlanta, Georgia, area since 2000. TDS Franchisor currently owns four TDS restaurants and began offering franchises in the fourth quarter of 2010. Mark Janasik is a Managing Member of CCG Restaurants, Inc., a Florida corporation that purchased the franchise rights for the TDS brand. CCG Restaurants entered into a development agreement to build and exclusively operate restaurants in North Carolina and other territories.

Mark Janasik provides leadership and a personal service philosophy that aims to add to the following of the emerging brand. Taqueria del Sol focuses on a cross-cultural menu of traditional Southwestern, Mexican, and Southern-inspired cuisine prepared and served in a relaxed and comfortable setting. The restaurant is known for its emphasis on high-quality dishes at reasonable prices. Taqueria del Sol provides guests with a distinctive experience that blends the best elements of quick service, casual, and full-service restaurant styles through the use of enhanced service systems. The Taqueria del Sol concept has been nominated for a James Beard Award in 2011 for the Outstanding Restaurateur category.

Prior to focusing on this enterprise, Mark Janasik functioned as the Vice President and Director of Operations for the Five Guys Burgers chain in Jacksonville, Florida. Not only was Janasik in charge of daily operations, but he also managed quality control, store construction and openings, marketing, contract negotiations, and purchasing.

Mark Janasik's other restaurant experience includes a position as District Manager of Waffle House. In this role, he managed restaurant operations and leadership development. Some of his specific duties included facilitating new store openings, training personnel, ensuring profitability, and evaluating human resources' policies and procedures.

Mark Janasik began his career as a Commercial Agent for Southern States Insurance, Inc. The company, which maintains a client base in the southeastern United States, offers insurance products to restaurants and entertainment companies. He gained valuable, in-depth knowledge about the restaurant industry in this position. He developed programs for food spoilage, workers' compensation, and liquor liability coverage.
