Marko Dimitrijevic is an entrepreneur, investor, photographer, and public speaker.

In 2016, the book Frontier Investor: How to Prosper in the Next Emerging Markets, was published. The Nobel Prize Laureate in Economics, Michael Spence, called the book "brilliant” and “a tour de force.”

Dimitrijevic is the founder and chairman of Volta Global, a private investment firm working in real estate, venture capital, private equity, and public markets. Marko Dimitrijevic founded Volta Global after working in investing for 35 years with the goal of cultivating a transformative investment platform that is guided by my philosophy of flexibility and continuity. Dimitrijevic has fashioned Volta Global to be a robust investing firm with funding across a broad range of industries and companies.

Before founding Volta Global, Marko Dimitrijevic was a Senior Vice President for Triangle Industries, and its successor Trian Group, a Fortune 500 company. He then delved into the field of emerging markets, investing in over 150 countries, including 120 emerging or frontier markets. In fact, one of the first Western investors in China, Russia, Indonesia, Bangladesh, and Saudi Arabia.

In 2014, Marko Dimitrijevic was named one of the "Top 25 Mid-Size Hedge Funds" and in 2010 of "Top 10 Emerging Market Hedge Funds" both by Bloomberg. Barron’s named him to the "Top 100 Hedge Funds" from 2009 through 2011. Absolute Return magazine:among the "Global Macro Fund of the Year" 2007.

Marko Dimitrijevic is an avid photographer, and has taken his camera on many adventures, including some underwater, and particularly capturing the world’s largest and smallest creatures on film. His images have been featured in Alert Diver, American Photo, Photopro, Islands, Seacam, and Showboats International.

As part of his love for photography, Dimitrijevic founded Art Benefits Earth, an organization dedicated to promoting the skills and crafts of nature artists. “Collectively, we share a mission to encourage the exposure and conservation of the world’s ecosystems and natural resources.”

A graduate of the Faculty of Business and Economics (HEC) at the University of Lausanne, Switzerland (BA.) Marko received his MBA from Stanford University.
