I work at Edinburgh Napier University, a post 1992 instituion, and the second largest university in Edinburgh. I’ve worked in the Higher Education sector for 5 years and in marketing/communications for 15 years.

I currently manage and harness the skills of his highly regarded Digital and Creative teams to deliver internet, social media, brand development, campaigns and publications. Via the creation and implementation of the University’s Digital Strategy I’ve overseen the improvement and integration across internet, customer relationship management, social media and marketing campaigns.

My time at the University has covered a period of substantial growth in both UK and International recruitment and I played an active part as Digital Stream Leader on the University name change project in 2009. I’m a keen advocate of social and professional media, and have ensured the University regards social media as a key communication channel for both marketing and engagement. I am particularly interested in harnessing search, search marketing and social media to grow the University’s digital footprint world-wide.

Away from work, I live with my wife and two young children - at 3 and 5 they certainly keep us on our toes. I’m frequently seen commuting on my bike to work, playing 5 aside footie and do the odd 10K.
