Marlo Shedlock

Charleston, SC

Marlo has a diverse background and wealth of experience in non-profit work, issue advocacy campaigns and international project development.

She spent the past five years living part time in Kenya and Malawi overseeing project development for an International humanitarian aid organization. While working in Africa, Marlo established the fair trade art project between Overstock.com and a community art gallery in Malawi Africa. Prior to her International work, Marlo lived in Anchorage, AK working for a grassroots conservation organization as a Project Coordinator. She also produced and hosted a drive time talk radio show that focused on local, state and federal legislative issues and ballot initiatives.

Marlo has a passion for environmental protection, saving animals and trying to convince others to practice compassion for non-human creatures.

In her spare time Marlo serves on the board of Surfrider Charleston and volunteers with Keep Charleston Beautiful, helping to organize litter clean-ups, outreach events and fundraisers.

She grew up on Outer Banks of North Carolina, a gorgeous barrier island gem, but currently resides in Charleston, SC with her partner Scott and their four beloved rescue dogs.
