Martin Kreimes

I grew up in and around MANNHEIM, Germany. At the age of 16 my father offered to buy me a car when I'm 18 or pay for a year abroad. I chose the experience. I didn't have to think twice about where to go. Growing up with Rap, Graffiti, Jams, Funk, Jazz, Soul, Basketball, MTV, Skateboarding, Nike, HouseMusic, Sneakers and all of US Pop-Culture...I wanted to live where it all came from. Senior High School Year in the States: DETROIT, Michigan 1998. Coming back with some of the best experiences and friends of my life I finished German Abitur and started to study Social Science and Marketing at the University of MANNHEIM. Internships at Mercedes Benz in Germany and - yes again - DETROIT, Michigan followed. Diploma Thesis in Advertising Psychology. Due to my hunger for urban life, marketing, creative work, subcultures, art, interesting people, and exciting experiences I moved to BERLIN. Starting my career as Marketing Manager at Europe's leading mobile ad network. Soon after I took the chance to co-found a design start-up named Halvtone and helped to build it in to what it is today. Our users can mill their favorite images individually in to wood using our smart web-app. My main role at Halvtone is Head of Marketing, Communications and Artist Relations. Finally arriving in Berlin. I love life and try to embrace every second of it. Lets see what happens next!
