My name is Martine. I was born and raised in Hibbing, Minnesota which is part of Minnesota’s Mesabi Iron Range. The Iron Range is located in the northeastern part of the state and is a very majestic and beautiful area. If you enjoy being outside in nature and like the atmosphere of life in a small community, this is the place to be. When the Iron Range was first settled, it was known as somewhat of a melting pot. Many different nationalities came to live and work here, as a result, the Iron Range became host to a variety of customs, and a group of hardworking people with traditional values. Hunting and fishing are two very popular pastimes here, and vegetarians in the community make up a small minority, but I believe we are a growing number. It may seem like there are not a lot of vegetarian options in this land of lakes and loons, but if you know where to look, you can find many hidden gems along the way –and this blog is here to guide you on your journey.
