Maryn McKenna is a journalist and author who writes about public health, global health, and food policy. She has reported from epidemics and disasters and hospitals and markets and farms on most of the continents. Currently she writes day to day for National Geographic and longer stories for The New York Times Magazine, Slate, Modern Farmer, Wired, Scientific American, The Atlantic, The Guardian, and so on. She is finishing a book on antibiotics and agriculture that will be published in 2017. (Her second book was about antibiotic resistance. Her first was about the CDC.) She likes old French pop music and strange strong condiments and thinks you can never drink enough champagne.
