Mary Slosson

Mary is a freelance journalist who reports on human rights and writes stories that explore the human condition. She is highly interested in the global public health arena.

She is a former correspondent for Reuters, where her stories on the wire regularly reached a global audience and appeared in publications like the New York Times, the Washington Post, and the Guardian.

She has also been published in the Los Angeles Times, the Huffington Post, NPR, American Public Media's On Being, the Knight Chair in Media and Religion blog, and elsewhere.

A graduate of the University of Southern California's Graduate School of Journalism, where she was an Annenberg Fellow, she also holds a BA in Foreign Affairs and French from the University of Virginia, where she was an Echols Scholar.

She has lived and worked in Morocco, Senegal, and Uganda, and has a passion for embarking on adventures the world over.
