A resident of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Matt Hanlon is an award-winning radio marketing professional with 25 years of experience in the business. He got his start working in sales at the Atlantic City radio station Lucky99FM, after earning a degree in communications. From that point forward, Matt Hanlon branched out into the world of media sales, eventually becoming president of Citadel Broadcasting in Grand Rapids.

After his position at Lucky99FM, Mr. Hanlon ventured to New York, where he would spend the next 15 years in media sales and management for multiple prestigious media companies. During his tenure in this realm of media marketing, he was able to participate in prominent radio mergers resulting from the Telecommunications Act of 1996. Mr. Hanlon later spent a year as a vice president at AOL, until radio job offers began turning up. One such job was in Grand Rapids, a city that suited him as well as his wife and five kids.

Matt Hanlon began working for Citadel Broadcasting in 2002 as a Market Manager and received a promotion to Regional President just two years into the position. He was largely responsible for the expansion of the local station group as well as several other Great Lakes region stations, with the network he created now covering the entire Midwest.
