Matthew Altier

Matthew served as the vice-president of administrative services at University of West Florida (UWS), and CEO for UWF Business Enterprises, Inc. (BEI), a special purpose vehicle created by the university. In these positions, Matthew instituted strategies improving campus safety and security, business continuity and emergency operations management, facilities development and operations, campus grounds and building management, human resources, financial services, and many other operational segments of the university. In addition, Altier served as the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Emergency Operations Manager for the university.

As the CEO of BEI, Matthew was responsible for building and managing public-private partnerships with state and local governmental authorities, creating new services and businesses to support the campus community and enhance current auxiliaries, as a means of tapping into additional revenue sources for the university.

Most recently, Altier was with The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey, a public liberal arts college, as the vice-president of administration and finance. In this role, Mr. Altier was responsible for budget & finance, campus master planning, revenue generation, public-private partnerships, and environmental health and safety. While with the Richard Stockton College, one of Altier’s most successful projects involved the college’s acquisition of Seaview Resort, a local golfcourse, which allowed students in the hospitality management program the opportunity for real-world experience and also served as an alternative revenue source for the college itself.

Altier earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology at California State University, where he graduated Cum Laude; he earned his Associate of Science in Engineering at Yuba College, Marysville, CA, again graduating Cum Laude. He earned an additional Associate of Science degree from the Community College of the Air Force and was in the top 5% of his class.
