Matthew Cassinelli

My name is Matthew Cassinelli.

I am a Zag. I attended Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA, which is a Jesuit, humanistic private university. Without the people and experiences at Gonzaga, I wouldn't be who I am today.

I studied Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. The culmination of my studies was my role as the Project Coordinator for my Marketing Promotions class, leading a group of 15 marketing students in planning an integrated campaign for 2012 Honda Civic Coupe Marketing Competition. Working with my team was an absolute blast and we ended up winning 2nd place in the national competition after preparing an extensive report and pitching to Honda executives.

At Gonzaga, I spent my minor studies learning Philosophy. I was honored to dialogue with amazing professors in courses like Logic, Ethics, Philosophy of Human Nature, Time, Happiness, and Wisdom. My personal favorite, was Music, Aesthetics, & The Brain.

During the fall of my junior year, I was able to attend Gonzaga-in-Florence. I studied abroad for four months in Florence, Italy at Gonzaga's campus in the heart of the city. I got to see the Duomo every day on the way to class, explore other cultures, and travelled to over ten countries on the weekends during that wonderful semester.

During my senior year, I became the Social Media Community Manager for Gonzaga, controlling the Facebook and Twitter profiles for the university while diving into the world of social media marketing.

Now, I'm living in Los Angeles and working at an advertising agency in Santa Monica called dw+h. I'm working as the Social Media Coordinator, helping build social into the work we do for our clients. I'm currently working on TRUECar.com, which I suggest you check out if you like savings a lot of money when buying cars.

I like to both listen to and play music. I dabble with drums and bass, spent time as the leader singer of Ellis, and am now learning guitar in my spare time. Send me your favorite songs and I will write back.
