Fitness and real estate entrepreneur Matthew Ianniello Jr. has owned and operated a number of businesses over the past two decades, where he handled marketing, sales, acquisitions, bookkeeping, and day-to-day operations in a variety of settings. His enterprises have ranged from a wholesale shoe outlet to a salvage company that liquidated closeout merchandise. Matthew Ianniello Jr. also owned and managed MI Telecommunications, which supplied voice, data, and other communications for all Steve Madden, Ltd., stores. He co-owned commercial real estate firm Cedar Swamp Realty LLC and currently owns AM Manhattan Realty LLC, which acquires and sells commercial real estate across the United States.

In Raleigh, North Carolina, Matthew Ianniello Jr. owns three Rapid Fitness Gyms. The facilities offer personal training; spin, boxing, yoga, Pilates, mixed martial arts, and other classes; a grappling room; an indoor track; and cycle and aquatic centers. Mr. Ianniello also provides high-end amenities such as luxury locker rooms, a lounge with free Wi-Fi, concierge service, and a juice and smoothie bar at each of the sites. In addition, his Rapid Fitness Gyms boast the city's largest cardio decks and offer free weights and boot camps. Each location features a Kids' Club and childcare as well.

The product of a military school, Valley Forge Military Academy, Matthew Ianniello Jr. graduated from Long Island University with a B.S. in Business. An athlete himself, he has participated in the New York City Marathon, raising money to assist in paying the medical bills of a young relative, and completed a bike-a-thon, which benefited St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Matthew Ianniello Jr. also aids The Doe Fund, an organization dedicated to ending homelessness, and supports groups engaged in cancer research.
