Since a young age I knew I wanted to be surrounded by technology - Atari, Commodore 64, and Oregon Trail in 5th grade social studies - I knew technology was for me.

In my undergrad at Kutztown University I studied Business Management and Computer Science. By age 21 I was managing at Red Robin Restaurants and by 22 had my own $3 million dollar kitchen in Hershey, PA. As the company grew I took on a corporate role and later became the Senior Manager of Information Systems & Compliance.

In 2007 i decided to change gears and became the Director of Technology at a 1,000 student K-8 school in New Jersey. I felt strong in my tech knowledge but a little unprepared for the Education sector so I went back for my M.Ed. at East Stroudsburg University (graduated Fall 2012).

In March 2014 I started at Vernon Township School District which is a 3,200 student K-12 district in Northern New Jersey. In my first year I implemented a one-to-one program with chromebooks, switched out Outlook for Google Apps for Education, tripled our bandwidth, and implemented a software for district curriculum.

We have had a lot of success and now the NJDOE spotlights our district to showcase technology best practices for other schools.
