So you've found me, let me introduce myself!
I began photographing in 2009, primarily photographing local bands in clubs and festivals around Southeast Michigan.
In 2011 I began doing Senior and Family portraits, in addition to the local music scene. I also began doing freelance work for a few local charities and nonprofits, community theaters, Relay for Life, etc.
In 2014 I began photographing sports for the News-Herald and the Dearborn Press & Guide. The following Spring I began working on the News side, photographing local events, proms and graduations, ribbon cuttings, car cruises, protests, public interest stories, and so on. I wrote and photographed a seasonal column covering farmers' markets throughout the Downriver area, wrote and photographed a Halloween column profiling local haunted attractions, and had a weekly “man on the street” column where I photographed and interviewed Downriver residents about everything from current affairs to favorite restaurants and bands. While working for the paper, my photos and articles have been featured in The News-Herald, The Press & Guide, The Ile Camera, The Macomb Daily, The Oakland Press and Crane's Detroit Business. I had the opportunity to photograph from a helicopter, from the sidelines at Ford Field, the tarmac of Metro Airport to photograph Air Force One and a former President, and had the honor of profiling several veterans around the area.
Today, with three kids, I don't get out to cover the music scene much anymore. My specialty is still portraiture, especially Seniors portraits and headshots! Contact me, I'd love to set up a session and capture some memories with you!
