I am the Learning & Video Ambassador for TechSmith corporation, a software development company that creates tools to help organizations and individuals to create image and video training and communication. I currently am working on expanding TechSmith's reach through speaking, and writing. I'm also working to help launch an online community focused on learning how to create information and educational videos.

I graduated from Indiana University’s School of Education in the Instructional Systems Technology department and have 10+ years experience working in learning and development, with a focus on using visuals and video for instruction. I am currently a regular contributor to Training magazine, and has published articles in various training publications in the US and UK. I've spoken multiple times at national and international conferences including ATD TechKnowledge, ATD International, eLearning Guild's DevLearn and FocusOn, Society of Technical Communicators (STC) Summit, Technical Communicators UK, and Online Educa Berlin.

I have directly managed the training and user assistance teams for TechSmith. In addition, I have experience managing the social media, video, PR, and technical support teams. I've run an online web show, interviewing guests from around the world discussing the use of visuals, video, and technology in education, training, marketing, and more.

I am a husband, a father of four incredible children, a lover of board games, and I love technology. In my spare time, I have launched two podcasts, http://thebackstoryproject.com & http://5trainersinacar.com
