Matty McKay

Matty Mckay is a producer, bandleader and session/live touring musician playing lead guitar, flat top acoustic, mandolin, and a seasoned session background vocalist. McKay is also making waves as a singer / songwriter with songwriting credits on country music radio. Matty has played guitar live, and recorded with many Canadian artists including: Marlee Scott, Lisa Hewitt, Jason Greely, Craig Moritz, Jessie Farrell, Jake Matthews, Jamie Warren, Aaron Pritchett, George Canyon, Patricia Conroy, Brett Kissel, Duane Steele, Deric Ruttan, Dean Brody, Shane Yellowbird, Charlie Major, Jason Blaine, Tebey, Gord Bamford, Carolyn Dawn Johnson and many others... Matty is a 6-time Canadian Country Music Association “All Star Band” Nominee. In 2008 McKay was nominated for both the Special Instrument Category for Mandolin, and Guitar. In 2009 - 2012, Matty was nominated for the Guitar (Guitar Player of The Year) category and made the final Ballot for the TOP 5 in Canada!
