Certified in clinical psychology with the American Board of Professional Psychology, Maurice Prout, Ph.D., has built an accomplished career in graduate-level academia. After earning his Ph.D. from American University in Washington, D.C., Dr. Maurice Prout served in several roles, including positions as an adjunct psychiatry instructor at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine and as a supervisor of the Behavior Therapy Institute at Temple University School of Medicine. Dr. Prout also served as an assistant professor and director of cognitive/behavioral therapies in the department of mental health sciences at Drexel University’s Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia.

Dr. Maurice Prout currently works as a professor at The Institute for Graduate Clinical Psychology at Widener University in Chester, Pennsylvania. In this role, he teaches cognitive/behavior therapy and psychotherapy and engages in clinical studies on anxiety/mood disorder short-term treatments, behavioral medicine, and chronic pain management, among other topics.

In addition to his work within academia, Dr. Maurice Prout serves as a founding fellow of the Academy of Cognitive Therapy and a clinical fellow in the Behavior Therapy and Research Society. Additionally, he maintains active psychologist licensein Pennsylvania. He is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Professional Psychology.

He maintains a keen interest in training mental health professionals in cutting edge treatments for PTSD, anxiety and mood disorders, insomnia, etc.
