Mauricio Cantor

I am a passionate individual leading a simple life to discover - and contemplate - how the complex nature works. My background includes both theoretical and empirical experiences, mainly in animal ecology and behavior. Currently, I am a PhD candidate in Biology at Dalhousie University, Canada, where I carry out a research project on sociality of sperm whales off the Galápagos Islands, Ecuador, along with a few spin-off projects. I enjoy everything in the scientific research, from the pure observation of nature (the field work), the means (statistical, computation and lab analyses), to its products (communication of inherently skewed interpretations).
