Couples enter a committed relationship expecting it to last for ever, but the sad reality is that nearly half of all marriages end in divorce and many cohabiting couples are destined to split up. There's no magic involved in having a solid, long-lasting relationship; love is important, but it also takes a lot of work.

I want to help you look at how to sort out problems when the going gets rough - as it will at some time for all couples. Topics I'll cover include:

  • how to spot the warning signs
  • coping with life changes such as having children, job loss, and retirement
  • crises such as money worries, illness and affairs
  • sex and intimacy - male and female problems
  • dealing with issues of self-esteem
  • how to get your ex back if you've already split
  • the importance of communication

My advice is: don't walk out at the first sign of trouble - give your relationship another chance, because you might be able to save it.
