Mehdi Rizvi is a PhD candidate at the Computer Science Faculty, UniBZ. After his degrees in Electrical Engineering (CIIT, Pakistan) and Mobile Broadband Communication (Lancaster University,UK), he is now working on tangible & interactive objects for scaffolding of positive social interactions based on conversations in classrooms. During his PhD, he has enjoyed working with an interdisciplinary team and has collaborated with experts of child development, deafness and worked with teachers and children in local schools. The results of his work have been published in a number of international venues, such as ACM TEI, AVI, IS-EUD. He was among the top-3 finalists of the international ASLERD design competition, and was awarded best student paper at the ACM CHItaly 2017 conference.
