Melissa Summers is a writer living just outside Detroit with her kids, a small skittish cat named Socks and an even more skittish dog named Lucy.

She has been featured in the New York Times, the Chicago Tribune, the Detroit News and Free Press (where they published her phone number on the front page) among others. She also went on the Today Show to tell America she thinks it's okay to have a glass of wine while your kids play together.

Turns out America does not entirely agree.

Her website Suburban(*) Bliss(*), belonged to her since 2003, when her children were quite a bit smaller and she was a lot less experienced at the whole mom gig. Things are a lot easier now.

Someone bought the lapsed domain "S_ubur_banB_iiss.n_et" in July 2014 and with that the blog was no longer authored by her and also did not belong to her.

She's working with a digital agency in Detroit now as Community Manager, helping brands engage with consumers in innovative ways. Everything else is hers and hers alone.
