Melissia Brannen

I am a student advocate, DEI and Belonging good practices researcher, and supporter of all efforts to create inclusive environments where everyone can be their true authentic selves. When we support one another and ensure our most vulnerable populations’ needs are met, we all have what we need.

I am a women's college graduate (Converse College) and currently the diversity officer at a previously historical women's college. I believe in modeling the way through a transformative and equity-minded servant leader approach. Diversity education and social justice awareness is my passion. Yoga is my peace and running once made me feel alive. Now I am a walking, crochet-loving spoonie struggling with chronic illnesses of my own while advocating for disability rights. I have been the proud PTO mom serving any way I can from car line fundraisers to the role of President. My children and their futures come first.

Responsibility. Connectedness. Arranger. Belief. Positivity.
