New York, NY

I'm a small-town, family-first kind of gal born and raised in Lansing, Michigan. I'm a middle child with an older brother and younger sister. Growing up, the dinner table was where we would gather everyday as a family of 5 and bond as we discussed the happenings of our day-to-day. I cherish that memory fondly and wish every family could share the same tradition.

That very tradition is the heart and soul of Mrs. Dorsey's Kitchen--a grilled cheese bar serving America's favorite comfort food. As a co-owner of MDK, we strive to bring a taste of home to our customers by recreating classic home-style grilled cheese sandwiches in a cozy, casual environment.

In addition to being a restaurant owner, I am also a professional violinist and enjoy performing around the world as a founding member of the Grammy-award-winning ensemble, Harlem Quartet. I love the emotional connection music allows our souls to make and I feel most fulfilled when working with young people to spark their musical creativity.
