Michael Cheshire™

Michael Cheshire pastors The Journey Church in Colorado. The Journey gathers from several mountain and foothills cities such as Evergreen, Conifer, Pine, Morrison, Lakewood, Golden, Littleton and a few others. The Journey began in 2008 with just a handful of people. Michael's innovation in ministry and desire to reach people with Christ’s love has created a remarkable ministry.
The church currently operates a state-certified driving school, publishing company, marketing and printing company, T-Shirt screen-printing business, 50-acre wilderness ranch, and truck rental dealership. They also founded The Dream Lab (a teen program), a full-service diner and a few other businesses that reach our community during the week. The businesses help fund the overall mission of the church.
Michael holds a degree in Fire Science from the University of Texas. He is the author of How to Knock Over a 7-Eleven and Other Ministry Training (2011) and Why We Eat Our Own (2013) along with the soon to be released “The Trojan Horse” (2014). Michael is a regular contributor to The Leadership Journal, Churchleaders.com, Rick Warren's Pastors.com, Church Planter Magazine and several others. His article “Going to Hell with Ted Haggard won several awards and is actually the most read article in the history of the Leadership Journal.
Michael is no nonsense, blunt and yet has a very humorous speaking style. This has made him a frequent speaker in both Christian and Business conferences on leadership and innovation as well as being a TEDx speaker. His understanding of business and culture has opened doors to him consulting at a variety of denominations around the country.
