Michael Hines

My name is Michael Hines and I am co-founder of Build Cincinnati of Coldwell Banker (Formerly, CBWS New Homes & Land). Our boutique brokerage works alongside builders, developers, agents and new homebuyers to help deliver the best homes in Cincinnati, Ohio. My colleagues and I, whom have a combined 100+ years of new construction experience, have strategically designed Build Cincinnati to be the premier resource for land/lot acquisition, builder representation and new home buyer counseling in the Cincinnati area. Our unique backgrounds and experience allow us to best serve the home building community and its patrons.

Growing up around land development and property management through my parents, I've been around the real estate industry all of my life. However, I officially joined the industry in 2006, after completing a degree in Urban and Regional Planning at Miami University. Shortly there after, I joined my father's development firm, Hines-Griffin Land Co. and assisted with the management and sales of River's Bend Golf Community, Grace Meadows, and The Village of SanMarGale, to name a few.

In 2009, as the new construction industry remained stagnant, I decided to returned to school to obtain an MBA from the University of Cincinnati. This proved to be one of the best decision I had ever made as it allowed me to move to Cape Town, South Africa for a number of months to take a position with a Mobile Media company expanding down from Norway. Being an avid scuba diver and adventurer at heart, I couldn't pass up the opportunity!

Upon returning, revitalized and excited for the future, we began designing what would later become the Build Cincinnati. Although the New Construction industry had been devastated by the downturn in the market, there were still buyers that recognized the value in building a new home. If anything, the market has been creating more and more opportunities for these buyers to find excellent deals. Our mission is to bring those deals to light for our clients. We work with buyers, builders, developers and agents to constantly keep an open dialogue so we can make connections and not let opportunities pass in the night.

As we move through 2015, we are seeing a drastically improved market in which we are positioned very well to assit out clients. We're very excited about the future!
