Mike Burton

I run Mobile Engineering for Groupon and live in San Francisco. I've built the Groupon, Digg, TripIt, and OpenTable Android apps, among others. Both the Groupon iOS and Android apps have received Best Of 2014 awards from Apple and Google and make up more than 50% of Groupon's transaction volume.

I'm in the top 10% of contributors for the Android and Java tags on Stackoverflow. I've flown a project on the Space Shuttle. I've ridden my motorcycle from Alaska to Mexico. My article on Generic Programming is available on Amazon, and I'm the author of Android Application Development for Dummies. I've spoken on Android development at conferences in London, Boston, Silicon Valley, Rio and Romania. You may be interested in RoboGuice, my open-sourced Android framework used by thousands of apps and hundreds of millions of users.
