Michael Calcagno

A community college all-American at College of DuPage in Illinois and all-conference player at Bowling Green State University in Ohio in football, Dr. Michael Calcagno brings that same focus and determination to Olympia Chiropractic & Physical Therapy in the Chicago suburb of Elmhurst. Founded by his brother, Dr. Pat Calcagno, in 1997, the business also includes facilities in Bartlett and Sycamore. At the Elmhurst site, Dr. Michael Calcagno serves as Clinic Director and treats such conditions as neck, shoulder, and lower-back pain; disc problems; sciatica; carpal tunnel syndrome; whiplash; and sports injuries. The former Bowling Green football player also works with young athletes on strength and speed training. In addition to playing football at Bowling Green, where he became a top tackler, Dr. Michael Calcagno earned a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. At Life University in Marietta, Georgia, he played rugby and completed a Doctor of Chiropractic. Now a partner in Olympia Chiropractic, he also serves as a strength advisor and assistant football coach at his alma mater, Immaculate Conception High School, which inducted him into its Hall of Fame in 2009. In addition, Dr. Michael Calcagno fulfills team doctor duties for the cross-country and track team at York High School. A longtime rugby player for teams in Cape Town, South Africa, and Chicago, he recently retired his jersey after 17 years. From his days on the Bowling Green football field to today, Dr. Michael Calcagno has concentrated on physical fitness, athletic training, and nutritional health for himself and others. An Elmhurst native, he shares his success with the community, serving on the Board of Directors of Kickoff for Kids, which offers resources to children to increase their chances of success. Dr. Michael Calcagno and Olympia Chiropractic in Elmhurst also provide complete turkey dinners during the holidays for 100 local families each year.
