Michael DiMarco

As Publisher & Creative Director at Hungry Planet, I run an independent publishing imprint and communications company that helps authors, publishers and organizations reach a visually-engaged culture. Specifically, I create books for a post-literate culture (books for people that can, but don't like to read.) 

I've also authored or co-authored a number of books including Die Young, Almost Sex, God Guy, Devotions for the God Guy, the God Guy Devotional Bible and the 2010 Christian Book of the Year for Youth- B4UD8 (Before You Date.) I am married to an even more bestselling author, Hayley DiMarco, and father to our daughter. 

My background includes a degree in mass communication, hosting talk radio, coaching volleyball at the university level, working as a teacher/presenter at the largest Bible software company in the world, and stints as a marketing and creative strategist for some of the largest organizations and ministries around. Oh, and jail. Note to self: the house always wins.

Some say I'm a skilled communicator and teacher, taking complex topics and breaking them down in an engaging and conversational style. I also like to be versatile in my speaking style, whether it's making a presentation to scholars at a Evangelical Theological Society gathering at a seminary or talking to a youth camp full of middle schoolers about becoming the girl/guy God made them to be. The topics of confession, transparency, spiritual formation, and the absence of them in the church (especially for men) is my heartbreak. I frequently assist churches, organizations, and families of influence in rebounding from revelations of moral failings in their midst. Overall, my ultimate passion is to point people to the One that saved me.
