Michael Johns is a healthcare executive, management and public policy expert, and former White House presidential speechwriter.

He has served in executive and management capacities with three Fortune 1000 corporations, McKesson (NYSE: MCK), Eli Lilly and Company (NYSE: LLY), and Gentiva Health Services (NASDAQ: GTIV).

In his public policy capacities, he also has been a foreign policy analyst at The Heritage Foundation in Washington, D.C., a senior aide to a U.S. Senator and to the former governor of New Jersey and chairman of the 9/11 Commission.

In February 2009, he was one of several public policy and political activists to co-found the U.S. Tea Party movement, the largest independent grassroots political movement in U.S. history.

Michael is the author of The U.S. and Africa Statistical Handbook, multiple academic papers and book chapters, and has written for The Wall Street Journal, The Christian Science Monitor, National Review, and other global and U.S.-based media.

He appears regularly as a guest expert and analyst on multiple global and U.S.-based television and radio networks.

Michael holds a Bachelors in Business Administration from the University of Miami, where he majored in economics and graduated with honors. He also has studied at Gonville & Caius College at Cambridge University in the United Kingdom.
