Michelle Grant-Groves is the Founding Director of the i3 Institute: Inquiry, Intention and Innovation, an emerging early education consulting cooperative dedicated to connecting and empowering the current early care and education system, Birth - 3rd Grade, and beyond. She is also the Founder and Executive Director of the Center of Gravity, a STEM-based early childhood education lab school for the Institute, located in Pleasant Hill, CA.

Michelle's professional work is centered around designing community systems of practice that support racial justice and inclusion, using inquiry and equity as core levers for authentic change and community transformation.

She brings with her over 20 years of service in both the public and private sectors of early education having served as a classroom teacher (Infant - 5th grade), school-site and district administrator, worthy-wage advocate, author, and now national professional development designer and facilitator. She holds a bachelor's degree in Research and Policy, Child and Adolescent Development, a master's degree in P-3 Early Education Educational Leadership, and is currently pursuing her doctoral degree in Educational Leadership from Mills College, in Oakland, CA.
