Michelle Glover is the co-founder and CEO of The Tea Tree Oil Review, a startup company that reviews and recommends the best tea tree oil and tea tree oil containing products. This may seem like a slightly strange business to start, but it is less strange than the Michelle’s career path.

After getting married and finishing her under graduate degree, Michelle attended Colorado State University where she completed a PhD in reproductive physiology and a fellowship in cellular and molecular biology. From the bench top, she taught at a college level until one day while bent over a cadaver and 8 months pregnant she decided it was time to take a break.

This break didn’t last long. Michelle (and Doug) started purchasing rental properties and jumped into the ring of startup fire forming DreamLife Properties, a profitable property acquisition and management company providing quality housing for patients going through psychological and drug rehabilitation.

Michelle was the silent partner on their second startup venture, Slime Sandwich Inc, a small gaming company. Over 10 years, the company grew and eventually partnered with Alex Welch, founder and former CEO of Photobucket which he sold for an undisclosed about over $300M. In 2009, Slime Sandwich received funding from a major VC in Palo Alto and grew to employ 6 people locally and another 15 abroad through outsourcing. Unfortunately, with the rapid change in gaming technologically the company hit a “brick wall” and closed its doors in 2012.

Presently, Michelle works for a large pharmaceutical company and has decided to take all the valuable lessons she’s learned and start her third company at night and on the weekends. This blog is the story of her journey as she takes off her high heels, throws on converse, and grows a business -one leaf at a time.
