Mickell Escobar

San Diego, CA

Born in Walnut Creek, California, and raised in Brentwood, California, Mickell Escobar is a sports enthusiast and dedicated volunteer in her local community. While attending Heritage High School in Brentwood, California, she participated in numerous volunteer projects, such as the Marsh Creek Clean-up event, the Health Expo fundraiser for the local Youth Commission, and the Spring to Life Family Fun Run. Mickell Escobar was also a part of several athletic activities. She participated in ski and snowboarding trips and played varsity basketball for three years. Particularly skilled in softball, she became an All-Metro and All-State player on the varsity softball team. She also joined the All-American Sports Academy for softball and helped the team win fourth place in the 2006 ASA Nationals.

After graduating from Brentwood’s Heritage High School in 2009, Mickell Escobar enrolled at the University of San Diego, where she studies psychology and biology. Over the course of her undergraduate years, she has maintained a strong grade point average while playing competitive softball. A dependable infielder and batter on the university’s women’s softball team, Mickell Escobar was recognized as Rookie of the Year in 2010. She also earned a listing in the PCSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll for her achievements as a top student athlete.

Mickell Escobar continues to stay active as an athlete and community volunteer. Her favorite interests include snowboarding and playing softball.
