Miss Leidia

Former chorister of Quebecer rap trio Muzion, Leidia a.k.a LD-One, was only 12 years old when she began being exposed to the Afro-American music influences such as Rythm & Blues, Soul and Hip-Hop. It was while listening to Whitney Houston's classic "I Will Always Love You" that the young Leidia understood the true power of music.

Leidia's musical influences also came from her family. Her innate talent comes from her Haitian father that was a former trumpeter.

Besides her father as an idol, Leidia is constantly inspired by Whitney Houston, Stevie Wonder, Mariah Carey, Céline Dion as well as Mary J. Blige especially when she's writting lyrics. Leidia has a remarkable admiration for Mary J. Blige since she connects with her lyrics which deal with her personal life and its struggles.
